Seven years ago, we made a life-changing decision: to leave behind the hustle and bustle of city life and embrace the tranquility and beauty of the Tuscan countryside. We’re a family of four with a simple but ambitious dream: to create a new life, one that’s more authentic and in harmony with nature and the changing seasons.
The first picture we took just a few days after we bought the house. Quite a few changes happened till then.
In 2020, we found the perfect house to bring our vision to life. It was full of potential but had been abandoned and needed a lot of love and care. We decided to take our time and renovate it slowly, doing as much of the work as we could ourselves.
A New Beginning in the Garden
The first challenge was the garden—a space that had been neglected for twenty years, overrun with brambles, tall grass, and unfortunately, rubbish left behind over time. With determination and hard work, we set about transforming it into a welcoming and flourishing space. It was exhausting but incredibly rewarding: seeing the land breathe again and the first flowers bloom gave us the motivation to tackle the next challenges.
Bringing the House Back to Life
Once the outdoor space was cleared, we turned our attention to the interiors. The house is divided into four apartments, and we started with our own, which is now the heart of our home and our daily life. Slowly but surely, we renovated the other three apartments, creating spaces that reflect the simplicity and warmth of country living.
Sharing Our Dream
Our dream isn’t just about living in the countryside—it’s about sharing this lifestyle with others. Hosting guests in our home has become one of the most rewarding parts of our journey. We love meeting travelers, hearing their stories, and helping them discover this incredible part of Tuscany.
We’re lucky to be in a unique location: close to major art cities like Florence, Siena, and Pisa, yet immersed in the peace and quiet of nature. Just a short drive from our house, you’ll find charming villages, hiking trails, and breathtaking views. Every season here has something special to offer: the vibrant greens of spring, the warm colors of autumn, the quiet stillness of winter, and the golden light of summer.
